Utterly, utterly amazing result! This isn’t how a Scottish qualifying campaign is supposed to go. We should be bottom of the table but instead we’re 3 points clear at the top with 9 goals scored and only 1 conceded. Bring on the world champions!
Shows what difference a proper manager can make with the same players that were such a failure over the last few years. And made all the sweeter of course by England’s continuing mediocrity.
Interesting to see that Cyprus is doing so well. It reminds me of a story about Idi Amin, and how he wanted to change the name of Uganda to Idi, until his advisors reminded him that people from Cyprus are called Cypriots.

Utter and unheard of, this is history…in the making …this day.
I’m not a big football fan but 4-0 ..that is something around these parts.
I walked through the city centre a few hours ago and there were still people walking from pub to pub in scotland tops and kilts. God knows how bad their hangovers are going to be. The newpapers have the result on every front page, many of them in special “celebration issues” with posters and page after page of match reaction.
It’s going to take a while before it really sinks in how big this result is and how much it means to a nation that has faced embarrassment after embarrassment in international football over the last few years.
