Anybody going to be at the folk alliance in San Diego in February?

I may be in San Diego sometime in Feb. What is the folk alliance?

the folk alliance is almost like a travelling circus of folk musicicans of all varieties from around the world who descend on a different city each year to rain down a debilitating torrent of mad drunken parties and phenomenal music. Last year it was in Nashville, this year its in San Diego, next year it’s Montreal. It’s a tonne of fun, and absolutely wicked hard on you. I think I clocked about 4 or 5 hours of sleep over a 4 day period last year. The cool thing about it is that although there are “official” showcases that happen in a controlled way (which you need passes for), the coolest are the guerilla showcases where record companies, agencies, venues, stores (elderly instruments always has a great room) all rent out hotel rooms and cram people in to hear bands. And for these all you need to do is walk right in, no passes, nothing. And did I mention free booze?
