Flute/Whistle carry box.

Tony Dixon has done it again. I asked him if he could make a box I could put my 6keyed flute and a couple of whistles and a beauty arrived today. Padded and also lockable and very reasonable. Not only that he had put in a wonderful small wooden ocarina with a cord for hanging around the neck. This has some coloured markings on it and will also go well as a pendant idea at sessions.

What, no pictures?!?

I’m a digital camera ignoramus but will ask my daughter to do some and put them for me.

Cool, Seeing some photos would be most fantastical and muchly appreciated

For those who are kinda Goth, I saw a hardshell drumstic box called the Coffin Box at Sam Ash, shaped as its named, with, you guessed it, red velvet padded interior. Looks like it would handle whistles, and might also handle irish flutes. Wooden stake and silver cross not included.

Ha! That’s perfect: We all know that Irish Musicians are allergic to sunlight, much like vampires, so why not give your whistles and flutes a comfortable and apropriate resting place during those deadly daylight hours?

Wow. What is Sam Ash? Can you send a URL. I have a goth daughter and I am quite goth myself and that sounds wonderful.

Sam Ash is a chain of music stores (there are several here in NY)that does mostly guitars, amps, drums, recording equipment, electronic pianos, etc. They generally stock low end whistles like Oak, Generation, Sweetone and have a small section for other woodwinds and brass. I’ll go check now for a link.
