I bet there are many like me. Tin Whistle players who would like to try out the flute.
One thing concerns me however. I play the whistles with my right hand closest to the fipple. Haven’t seen many others who do that. If I started playing the flute, I would have the flute pointed to my left while playing and the mouthpiece would be turned the wrong(?) way. Does this matter, if it does, are there any special flutes for the likes of me. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. //Henke

Just about any keyless flute will do fine for your hands issue.
However, do ensure that the embouchure is cut for a left-handed player. Most makers today make the embouchure (the blow hole) ambidexterous, but some don’t.
Worth checking to be sure.
keyed flutes, however, are a tad more involved. Left-handed flutes have been made with keys (and most makers will do so happily), but if you get into antiques, few were made for lefties. some players, ie Catha McConnell, indeed play lefty on a “rightie” flute. Not impossible, but surely fun to watch.
