No questions to ask right now, nor intelligent info to share - just to share my happiness about this month of march. This is turning out to be a very flute rich month - bringing some early spring vibes after the long Nordic hybernation
Last weekend John McSherry, Michael McGoldrick, Donal O’Connor and Tony Byrne were doing some concerts in Denmark.
I got to see them both friday (without Mike McGoldrick) and sunday night (with Mr. McG) and it was abdolute fireworks. These guys arrived straight from the airport on friday night. Unpacked, soundchecked and started playing. They never stopped flying. There might be an album coming out of this energetic combo!
A few days before I spoke with Eamonn Cotter. My 6-keyed flute is almost ready - just the final touched. I should have it this month!
Later, on the 21st of march Comas (with Sylvain Barou) and Kornog (with Jean Michel Veillon) are playing at a festival in the town of Odense…
You lucky one, given half the chance we would love to come up and see it. It’s only an 8 hour drive but at that weekend it looks like we have an 8 hour drive down south. We have good memories of Odense aswell, as we were married there on 23/12/1999.
Please send our regards to them all and I’m sure it’ll be just a great gig.

I’m very much looking forward to hear both Sylvain Barou and Jean Michel Veillon play. I don’t know the venue, but I reckon it is not a huge place.
Mike Mc Goldrick also played during the annual Copenhagen Irish Festival last november. The experience last weekend was so different; much more intimate to experience this music in small venues. Last sunday we were sitting as close as we could get. Any closer and I would have sat on his lap! As much as I appreciate the man and his music, I think that would overdo it a wee bit
