Too many people were making fun of my avatar with my photo, so I decided to do something about it. I commissioned Rob Adams (Treeshark) in London to draw a dancing (clogging) flute man for me. I told him what I wanted, and he obliged my request with the image below. The only problem is that this little guy doesn’t have a name yet, so I decided to ask the most savy group of flute connoisseurs in the world (here on the flute forum, of course) for some help. Does anyone have any ideas? I am also interested in other examples of flute art.
Hi Rosemary,
Unfortunately, no one drew the old avatar image. It was a photo, and that was the problem. Ha! (Andrew, are verbal exclamations OK?)
However, the avatar size limitation of 100 x 100 pixels makes everyone and everthing look a little pixelated, but I suppose that is better than looking inebriated, but without the accompanying benefits.
Gha! Colostomies and Tracheotomies… pueer we fellah. I think Rufus Flutus. I did consider using the blow hole as the mouth but that would have caused a constantly astonished expression…
or Tootus Flootus, One flute Over the Cuckoo’s Vest, Sylvester Syrinx. Rudy Rudall , Percy Pratten, Rikki Rockstro, Conal Conical,
Is he a she? In which case a Transverstite. Oops that was bad.
I thought he/she had a Grasshoppery feel, but well spotted on the Planters fella as he was part of the brief from Robert.
Julia, yep I slave away in London, Today I spent painting Lions for a Narnia thingy, I got so caught up in it I damn near missed my flute lesson.
