Just saw Flook for the first time after I had been trying for some 3 years or so. They finally made it all the way out to the West Coast of the USA. I packed my bags and drove 8 hours north to Redding to see them and it was definately worth every bit of it. I got a chance to talk with Brian during the interval, very friendly and helpful with all of my questions.

Did you know that Flook play Vancouver on Wednesday the 7th?
Don’t know where. I think that the Rogue Folk Club has organized it.
I know it involves a ferry from Pender, but Vancouver’s as close a pass as one’s likely to get, yes?
Coupla my session mates are going and I’m envious, too.

Well worth all the driving, wasn’t it? I saw Flook in Asheville, NC a few years back. I arrived at the venue late, after a full day of cross country driving. Fortunately for me, Flook also arrived late, due to travel problems of their own. I was so tired before the show started that I could barely keep my eyes open, but once Flook started playing, I was wide awake - an absolutely fabulous group.
