I was just wondering if anyone here has heard of this band. They’re an Irish folk band with a punk flare. Great music. They use the tin whistle and I was wondering if anyone knew where I could find the music for it. Thanks in advance.
By the way, if you’re looking for a good song to download, I’d suggest “Devil’s dance floor”
Flogging Molly did a show here earlier in the summer, it was amazing. But in regards to your comments, they don’t actually consider themselves an Irish band. Dave King is the only one in the band from Ireland (the rest are from L.A.) and he has said something along the lines that they are a “musical” band. In fact right now they are playing with the Warped Tour alongside bands such as Bad Religion and The Circle Jerks.
But on to your question about finding their music. Unless the song is traditional you should just give up now. Flogging Molly protects their music very carefully, they don’t sell written copies of their music, and any websites with music, lyrics, or anything else unauthorized is shut down quite quickly. If it’s a traditional song you’re looking for you could probably find it online, but the Flogging Molly website will be useless

I personally love the band. I met them a few weeks ago in Indianapolis. I had a lengthy conversation with Dennis Casey. I also tried to find their music for a while. The best I could get is “The Kesh Jig” which appears to be the melody to “Salty Dog.”
Darn. Oh well, thanks anyway.
