I remember something similar in the news awhile back. Some guy caught a mouse in his house, took it outside and set it on fire. The flaming mouse ran back into the house, caught the drapes on fire, and the house was burned down. Tim Cahill, one of my favorite writers, has a story called “Rime of the Ancient Porcupine” from the book _Jaguars Ripped My Flesh_ (the title is a joke, by the way), that follows the same line.
