I’ve seen a brand of “flageolets” advertised that come in a package of 12 on a cardboard display. The keys are D,C,G,Bb,Eb&F. Retail price is about $9.00 each. Does anybody know what kind of whistles these are and if they’re any good? Thanks in advance. If you want a look, here’s a link:

My far-from-expert opinion would be either noname or generation - I say generation due to the available keys and the choice of nickel or brass.
Much cheaper here: http://www.thewhistleshop.com/catalog/whistles/inexpensive/Generations/generati.htm
They’re Generations, two each in the keys of Bb, C, D, Eb, F and G, one set in brass with red fipples, the other nickel with blue fipples.
Nice instant collection except that:
-
They’re generations. With luck, you might get two good whistles on the card - not necessarily in the keys you want.
-
At $9 each ($108) they’re badly overpriced. Look at

to buy the same whistles for just over half as much.
Edit note - if I typed less or faster I might have been the first to say it G
Nothing salves a weary soul like a cheap whistle.
