Five Generations

This photo, taken in 1949, is five generations of my
family. The three eldest being my great grandmother,
my great-great grandmother, and my great-great-great
grandmother. The youngest are my great uncle and cousin.

Not much more to say about the next pictures than that
they were taken at the old family cabin.

Walden,
You have a remarkable archive there of times past, a way of life that is changed,if not gone, forever.
How could the photographer(s) have known that their work would one day be viewed by people from outside the area, a long way outside…and be admired and wondered at?

Lovely stuff, keep them coming.

Slan,
D.

Those are great! I love old pictures.

Those look like fine folks, Walden.

Keep 'em coming. Great stuff. How and when did your family end up in Oklahoma?

This side of family came on the Trail of Tears, in the first half of the 19th Century. Some of my other kin migrated from North Carolina toward the end of the 19th Century, as my great-great-great grandfather was a pastor.
