For some reason, there’s a huge contrast regarding sweetness between what is heard and what is seen. Or, as the popular internet meme says: What has been seen, cannot be unseen. I’ll never sing again! 
On the other topic: Casey, do you want to see the first flute ever or the first one that turned out quite decent? I made some prototypes not long ago, and they look more or less ugly and don’t play well neither. The first “serious one” turned out nicely.
