I’ll be recording my first song with some local people. Unpaid, but it’ll be used at a pub each night at closing time to let people know its time to go. The song is ‘The Parting Glass’. I’m thinking about using a poison Oak or my busman, but that may be too loud. I wish I had a sindt

If you can, why not record the tune twice, with both whistles, and see which one comes across the best. Of course, I have my own preference… 
I wouldn’t worry. If they give you your own microphone, they can adjust the loudness. If you’re going to share the same microphone with everybody else, then no whistle can be too loud for that!
