First Performance ... my goodness

Just to tell the board a quite happy news here.

On Friday, at some tuition centre’s annual dinner, in some hotel, guess what …

I did a solo performance, with the Dixon Low D. So cool, so nice being out there, performing to a crowd that hardly knows what the heck you are holding. And wondering at the finger stretch or so.

Played a non-trad tune , and then followed up with “I’m a’ doon fur lack’ O’ Johnie”. Played quite slowly, quite nice.

My only complaint now: The Dixon Low D is too quite. Had a troublesome time getting the mic to pick the sound up.

So that’s that then. One small step for me, a giant step for Ireland. BTW, the irish head of state is in malaysia now.

Congratulations! I love my Dixon Low D, being polymer I have no condensation/dribble problems, and I like mine quiet, it doesn’t disturb the neighbours.

Congratulations!! Performing is a tremendous joy, and a wonderful thing to do for your own personal development. Music is meant to be shared, and the appreciation that people have for it never ceases to amaze me. Keep at it.
