Well, I’ve started on the whole WhOA experience. While browsing through my local music shop. I noticed a clark on the wall, and got it. (High C). Found that I could play it MUCH easier than the one I got at a Feis.
I’ve now taught myself two tunes (The scale song, do, a deer, a female deer…if this is unfamiliar, go watch Sound of Music), and most of Fields of Athenry.
Can’t wait until I can get my low D/Flute head combo from Tony Dixon! (WhistleStop has been out for two weeks now… ;-( )
The air requirement is better on the C, I find that I like blowing harder, as it suits me better.
As an aside, also produced a (very breathy) scale on my girlfriends flute! (Boehm style). Kinda cool!
