first i bought a whistle

it was the clarke c whistle, to go with my flutophone (in c also, naturally). got it right after christmas, to bring along on a trip to play with friends if necessary.

not that i have ever reallyed played anything windy like that…

except now i have 7 whistles, including a low d pvc ebay deal (that i suspect would sound awesome if i could really play it) and a locally-made b-flat that i got at the local ren faire on saturday.

my husband says he thinks i have a whistle problem! yeesh.

i could quit anytime, i swear. but they’re so much fun. i probably do have enough d whistles, but the little black whistle i got isn’t quite in tune and i can’t get it into tune no matter what i do to it, so i may need another. and i might need a low g, i hear they’re easier than the low d, and that way i can practice…and there are some other keys missing…

hello, i’m julie, and i love my whistles!

Juliebeth,
T’is a precarious road (WOAD) ye are heading down Lass. I’d warn ye to turn back but I fear ye have passed the point of no return.

Welcome!

i could quit anytime, i swear

  The first step to recovery is to admit that you have a problem.

Welcome to the forum, by the way.
Lots of great whistles out there, betcha can’t stop at 20, or 30!

haha thanks! already learning my Bflat is harder than even the c. low whistles, here i come, just maybe a little more slowly than i thought…
