Fir An Ghuail

ran across this catchy slow reel.Any body cipher it for me.What’s it mean and how do you pronouce it.

Fir an Ghuail I think translates as the Coal Man and the pronounciation is roughly:

fear uhn ghoowl

That first ‘gh’ is a sort of slight gutteral sound. And ‘fear’ is like “I fear the state of my bank account when my new flute is ready.”

Any native-speakers want to confirm the translation?

The coalminer. Marcus o’Murchu has it on his CD in the key of D but it is generally plated in G.

Cheers
