From reading messages posted, I’ve noticed certain Generations seem to have exchangeable fipples? Like the C fits the D? Or maybe the LBW fipple fits a Gen D?
My question: I’ve got two Bb Gens (one brass, one nickel) and the brass fipple was semi-ruined in an amatuer tweak attempt (yes, by me). Anyone know of any other fipple that will fit a Gen Bb? I really like the body of my Gen, I just need a better fipple.

I retrofitted a Sweetone C fipple to my Gen Bb and it plays nicely with a clear tone throughout the octaves. The 2nd octave is particularly nice and it easily hits a clean 3rd ocatve Bb. If you can’t locate any other fipples that will work, I can tell you via e-mail how to fit the Sweetone fipple if you want to give it a try. Just a heads-up…it does take a bit of work and some tools, but it’s worth it.

Hmm…does it require LOTS of tools? I’m handy with pliers and screwdrivers and that’s about all. As I said, when I tweaked my Gen Bb, I made it both worse and better, and that was just using sandpaper!
I would like the how-to, though, if you want to let me know and maybe I can try it! I mean, why not?
