Yes, at last I’ve finished it, after the trouble cutting it to shape and visitors interrupting me, not to mention having to work! It looks OK (doesn’t warrant a photo) and sounds fine, but the main thing I’m really pleased about is that I made Cnat how I wanted to finger it (OXXXOX). This is my favourite fingering, and until now I had no idea how to make it happen. This time I did it myself, intentionally, and I’m really pleased. It’s great: with each new whistle another little piece of the puzzle falls into place. Technique is still poor (no tools, of course), but my knowledge is increasing. What fun it is.
Congratulations! I’m looking into the possibility of making myself a low G whistle so it’s great to hear that someone else has succeeded in making their own whistle!

This will help with Cnat tone hole placement. Use the bottom hole as a vent hole(?)
Yes, have used Flutomat and the Whistlecalc, but (being a bit slow) still could not predict the fingering for Cnat. It would be there somewhere, but until I played it I didn’t know where! This time I tuned the Cnat to my chosen fingering as I tuned the whistle, and seem to have worked out how to do it. A great relief to me.
