Thanks Hans, (see Chris Norman’s Port Atoll topic for context) it sounds like you might could use the Finale 2000 software that I have. I might be coming to Inverclide to football school but do not know for sure yet. I could bring the disk. If you want, I could send you the disk if you would send it back. The program is as follows; you can clip a wee mike to the flute and when you play, it writes the sheet music. The thing I use it for most is to download songs, then bring them up on Finale and it plays them in any instrument as it points to the notes, fast or slow. Like if there is a folk tune on the net that I have never heard, I can download it, play it, change the key, or print it and send the sheet music or just send the file to anyone who also has Finale 2000. But the best use is to download something on a piano or guitar, or dobro, or banjo to accompany me. I don’t have to mess with someone who plays too fast or slow, just punch a button. It reminds me of what they used to say about caned milk–no tits to pull, no shit to sling, just punch a whole in the ****** thing.
I wonder if anyone else finds this software useful.
