Feadóg Mouthpiece Question

I know there are some differences between Feadóg mouthpieces. Which have I got? It’s brass colored and has a green mouth piece that has a point or peak behind the hole (in the mouthpiece…please forgive my not knowing the correct terminology, feel free to correct me!)

Then today, I got in the mail another Feadóg that I got off Ebay. This Feadóg mouthpiece looks totally different. It is flat on top, no peak behind the hole.

Which one is the better one? I was planning on giving this away to somebody (not sure who yet) but if it’s a better whistle, I’ll keep it!

I love my whistle! I stood out in the yard yesterday and whistled “The South Wind” to my husband from memory mind you! My little boys clapped and I bowed! LOL So much fun!

The flat top is the newer whistle, which many on this board believe is better. The best way to figure that out is to play both of them and see which you like better.

(Oh, if your old Feadog is -really- old it could be the better whistle, too, maybe…)
