Fate

Okay, I just bought a Burns small handed black wood flute with extended foot joint…he’s still making it. Now, fate has been kind to me…no question about that…but when I saw this on ebay…I nearly cried…

:boggle:

Bid often and high my friends…that flute is worth every penny.

The standard blackwood CB D costs 625 plus 15 shipping.
The seller says she paid 675 three years ago.
Does a small hands model cost more?

The waiting list on CB flutes isn’t particularly long,
by the way.

Well, the starting bid is for 400.00, and her memory is a bit off on the price. However, the small handed flute does not cost any more than his other flutes. The waiit is around 4 to 8 weeks for one of his flutes. I was just shocked to see one of his flutes on ebay, as I have been looking at blackwood flutes on ebay for months.

Buying a second hand flute does have its risks…was it broken in right, was it oiled right, was it kept out of direct sunlight, cold…etc etc…why is she selling…and so on. But if it could be bougth for under 600.00 it will be a GREAT deal if nothing is wrong. And damn it is a great looking flute…

The spokesmodel appears to be as pleasing as the flute!
