You have to figure that this only works because the victims are gazing so intently at the twin on the opposite side of the “mirror” that they don’t notice the slight movement discrepancies. Pretty cool.

I am all for mirrors not reflecting people wearing pink tops with orange pants and sensible sandals.

I remember two of the Marx Brothers doing a variation on this in Duck Soup. A long scene, shot without any audio at all. The seams can be seen in the sketch but you need to look very closely.
