Anyone here heard of “The London Lasses” or is it the “The London Lassies”. I heard it on a low f whistle this weekend and want te find the music. If there are any knowers oot there, do ye know who plays this originally?
Thanks be unto you!

Originally? It’s no 546 in O’Neills 1001 Gems (The Dance Music of Ireland) so it’s been around for a while. It’s a very popular session tune. I first heard it on the album “Eavesdropper” by Kevin Burke and Jackie Daly, but it’s also the first tune on “Take the Air” by Sean Ryan, and it can be found on “Contentment is Wealth” by Sean Keane and Matt Molloy.
