Haven’t heard much discussion on Lambe in this forum, and NPU has a half set for sale… does anyone know who he learned pipe-making from and how do they sound?
Eugene spent time with Dan Dowd and Matt Kiernan. I don’t think he is making a lot of pipes these days although his Galway Hooker must be finished by now. They sound like Lambe sets. Rowsome-ish I suppose, they vary a bit though.
My take is that I have allways had an easy time reeding the drones and regulators on Lamb sets , and the sets , play with an even pressure , tough I have had probs reeding the chanters , is it my fault ?? , my take .
