Eugene Lambe Flute

I’m trying to find a value for a flute that I had made in the 80’s. It’s in the key of d, rosewood over brass with ivory, no keys, tapered. I purchased it when I was a kid and dreaming of playing well, just never managed to get there. Thanks.

Hi,
Did you try his email? elambe@eircom.net
Maybe he has an idea.

got photo?

I’ve never done a forum before, so forgive me for any errors that appear! I’ll get a photo soon (I’m at home, digital camera at work) and thanks so much for the email address.

I am very nervous posting anything myself.
Last I heard of Eugene, a marine biologist, was that he was off sailing around the world in a big yacht.
If you ask / hear how he is doing it would be interesting to know.

Here is a photo of the flute. It has a couple of cracks on the middle (smallest) section where the rosewood encases brass. This is from the wood shrinking over metal. The flute assembles fine and plays well.
