Hey people,
Not sure where to post this, but for those who are interested… My band opened for Young Dubs last night in Hollywood. And it turned out that Eric Rigler was sitting in with them (he might be for the whole tour, not sure).
At any rate, I spoke with Eric before sound check and he was using a Michael Burke High D and an Overton Low D whistle, along with his beautiful (visually and aurally) Alain Froment uilleann pipes. If you’ve never caught him at a show before he is simply prolific and inspiring.
The Young Dubliners concert was great, and I was proud to open for such a fun and talented band. It was nice to hear some amazing live music again…
Cheers!
Matt
