Eoghan MacAogháin

Does anyone have the album “The Clare Hills” by Eoghan MacAogháin?

What type of player is he?

Well, I’ve got it (obviously), but I don’t know what you’re looking for in terms of description. The track list is fully listed and commented on at his website ( http://www.geocities.com/Athens/Troy/4133/ ). You’ll note they’re mostly airs, which he plays in a manner similiar to the one on Wooden Flute Obsession. The other material is pretty standard traditional - he’s not a overpaced hot shot. There’s one set of his own compositions.

Thanks Kevin,

I was wondering what style he plays or what group you would put him in. More Carty Flow or what?

I’m no expert, so I’d hazard a guess closest to a form of East Galway style. More flow than huff.
