So, I’ve been trying to find a page that documents the circumstances surrounding the assasination, but have come up short. (I remember watching it on TV, but don’t really remember how, why, etc.) Any ideas?

A Beatle fan all of his life, this gentleman > wrestled for 18 years before > coming to the decision to sell the album. The album > bares > the signature of John Lennon and is dated 1980. The cover and dust jacket > contain > forensically enhanced fingerprints of Chapman.
It may be petty in me but I wouldn’t buy anything off this man.
Lorenzo would have to outbid Michael Jackson . . . who bought the rights to the Beatles songs and might as well add this to his little collection. He has enough money to buy it, easily.
Hey! You blew my strategy! I was going to buy it and sell it to MJ for a wee profit. I hear that Jackson is in financial straights…instead of 1/2 billion, he now only has a few mil cash, but he could sell his stock/rights to the Beatles. Someone has to be sick to really want this album, even for free, so Michael will probably get it.
Man, buying that would be too ghoulish even for me.
As for the guy’s motivation, maybe he needs the dough.
The way its being marketed is loathsome but the market itself exists. My ex-wife has a postcard signed to her by John and Yoko when they were staying in a SF hotel (one of those sleep-ins). I finally convinced her to at least put it in a protective sleeve after it rattled around in the picture box for years and years. To her credit (and I AM talking about an ex) she has never much thought or cared about its value to the outside world. But if she suffered some tragedy and really needed money to live, the question of whether to sell it might be suggested from others who knew of its existence.
The piece itself is ghoulish but if I owned it, what would I do with it if I no longer wanted it?? I couldn’t throw it away, that would seem wrong. I think he oughta donate it to some museum if he can get a tax credit, I guess.
That’s the same price the nose cone from the SST Concourde went for!
