A while back there was a thread on these hand made Czech elderflower whistles. A couple of lucky souls had gotten samples and seemed to love them.
I just checked back in at the Overton web site that featured them, but it doesn’t seem to have been updated since I first saw it. Does anyone know if these are available to us commoners yet? If so, do you know the price range? I’d still love to have one!

My mind was working slowly last night – I thought of that afterward and did fire off an e-mail.
The answer is that they’re still working on it, but nothing’s happened yet. The high D is said to be quite nice. Can’t wait to get ahold of one!
Unfortunately, the shipping is pretty expensive: over 30 Euros in a box, maybe as low as 20 Euros if they can safely use a padded envelope.

I wonder if it would not be better to do a group purchase and then redistribute the whistles via priority mail once here.
I would be willing to be the point man for this endeavor.
I was thinking the same thing, only less globally. (I’ve GOT to learn to think bigger!) Yeah, that seems like a good idea.
Of course, you probably WOULD have to try a few of them out once you got them – just to make sure they were all good.
