Edge of the White Rock?

Does anyone recognize this song?

You’ll have to scroll down to the music samples and listen to the one called “The Edge of the White Rock”

It’s supposedly called “The Edge of the White Rock,” but the version that I have doesn’t have any part that sounds at all like what this guy is singing… Does anyone have a version of the song that matches?

Thanks,

Joey

Is it this ?

Yeah Tony,

That would be the version that I have. I can’t match any of the melody in that recording to the sheet music, though.

Here are the words the guy’s singing, starting on line 2: o bhaithis go bonn a broige…

So the song IS apparently SOME version of Edge of the White Rock…
Anyone have music that’s closer?

Tony,

You are a god among men.

Thanks AGAIN!

Does this mean I get to borrow that Hubbert B chanter of yours ?

That’s a good stick if it’s base on the old Egan B he’s been working with lately. Have fun.

I might just have to pass it your way one of these days, Tony. I owe you, man, for all your help.

By the way, that “Irish Music in Chicago” CD looks awesome. Those are some cool sounding renditions - I like some of the blends of instruments they use. Pat, you and Jeff aren’t featured at all on there, are ya?
