Eclipse over Chongqing, China

We went to Siberia to see last years eclipse. It was awesome. We had an amazing picture (for a small camera) showing other planets in a line. I don’t know how to post pictures up here as you may remember from the legs theme so I can’t prove it.

You can see the avatar with the legs looking at it even

Someone sent me a link to this gallery of pics during the recent eclipse.
http://planetfunn.blogspot.com/2009/07/longest-solar-eclipse-of-century-33.html

Most are of people looking at it. These two were my favs.

Which two were your favs?

Are the images not showing up? Crud. Here’s the links.

And if that doesn’t work, well just pick any 2 and pretend it was those.

I like this one if I can get it here

(I still don’t have the first notion how to shorten the url) (don’t even know what it is )

It just means so nothing

URL is the acronym used for web addresses (it means
“Universal Resource Locator”, but that’s not important).
If you leave the [tags off, the system usually still
recognizes the web address and shortens it automatically,
like this:
http://lh6.ggpht.com/_A6ZBb9wCU3o/SmfqDpEw2II/AAAAAAAAFHQ/TFWZYjoUryU/s1600-h/Solar%20Eclipse_1027[2].jpg

(I just copied your link and removed the [url]and](tags%20off,%20the%20system%20usually%20still%20%0Arecognizes%20the%20web%20address%20and%20shortens%20it%20automatically,%0Alike%20this:%0Ahttp%3A//lh6.ggpht.com/_A6ZBb9wCU3o/SmfqDpEw2II/AAAAAAAAFHQ/TFWZYjoUryU/s1600-h/Solar%20Eclipse_1027%5B2%5D.jpg%0A%0A%28I%20just%20copied%20your%20link%20and%20removed%20the%20%5Burl%5Dand)
and now it’s short!)

I still don’t understand Please

When you posted your link you did this (I assume):

  1. Went to the page that showed the image you wanted to link to.
  2. Highlighted that address in the browser.
  3. Clicked on Edit->Copy (or hit Ctrl-C)
  4. Created a new post on C&F
  5. Pasted the address in your new post
  6. Highlighted the address in your post
  7. Clicked on the URL button.
  8. Hit the Submit button

Next time, omit steps 6 and 7, and the
system will shorten your address for you.

whatever

Sometimes you are so deep

I think what Denny is trying to say in his terse way
is, “If you quote this post you will see the different
ways you can embed a link, and how each one
shows up in the post.”

But they come up with different pages

Odd. For me clicking on any of them gives the same page
on Salon.com about the movie “Whatever Works”

The first one comes up as Site Pass for me

Thank you for trying to help lil’o me D and of course F

ack!!! they’re the same bloody URL!!! :swear:

??? I’ve just tried them again and they come up the same???

Can I try again with another picture?
