Hi folks,
I’m selling this fantastic flute (Orsi, FL-60, buying price nee 1800€) I’ve bought (new) for master classical music with a 19th century style flute. Recently a friend has suggested me to sell it here, he has tried it judging the flute really good for the Irish music too, despite the holes.
The price is 800€ negotiable
Thanks,
All the best,
Marc
In English you would say “19th century” (at least I think that’s what you mean, from Italian). In the year 750 they were still playing aurochs bones, or something. And welcome to the Chiffboard, Marc.
Now that is really interesting. Orsi as in the great Milanese musical instrument firm? Are making these nowadays? Or were relatively recently?
How come we weren’t aware of these?
But there’s nothing about this/these on their website
and websearches only bring up what I presume is your (the OP’s) other offer(s) of this flute for sale.
Hi, I’ve created another account because there were a problem involved with my tablet.
Yes, Orsi is the woodwind Milanese maker, if you have questions or doubts send a mail here, they will confirm you the buying price for new and all details about it. info@orsi-wind-instruments.it
Of course you can write in english. If you are interested about the used instrument that I sell, send a pm or mail to me: anselmotr@hotmail.it
All the best,
Marc
No doubts, Marc. Just a little disappointed that they (Orsi) don’t seem to be advertising these for sale currently (I’d have added them to The Makers List if they were producing these now). And surprised that they have been making such things at all post WW2! I wonder how long they were in production, between what dates, and why they tried them in recent modern times - what their marketing rationale was? None of which has anything to do with your sale.
OrsiFS (if that is your real name… ) - that’s a great price on a new ebonite flute, but no one this side of the pond (and I’m guessing over that side, too) is too familiar with Orsi simple system flutes.
Could you comment a bit on the sound? Is it better for classical music or does it do well playing Irish trad, too?
Ooooh, Kevin. Just look at the detail in the photos of both! Whatever it may be, this Orsi flute is quite clearly not one of those High Pitch soft Ebonite Pakistani bad Pratten copies. The Orsi is clearly a modern descendent of the “Ziegler System” Italian simple system flutes of the later C19th and earlier C20th and made to a decent standard. It’s such a pity there’s nothing on the web about these!
Yes, I do wish the ORSI website had details about the 8-key flutes, a better view of the mechanism, such as that roller on the C#, and materials and pricing. Oh, and whether available in blackwood or not.
Really sorry, the work today is bringing me out.
It’s ebonite, I’ve mistaken the title jn the other topic.
As jem has perfectly said, the details of Orsi and the indian one is a lot different.
However, now I can’t find the e-mail with the details of the instrument, if you wish these details you could mail the customer service:
