Potentially of interest: The Oxford Companion To Irish History - I am neither the seller nor a potential buyer… The Oxford Companion series books are generally pretty good.
I own a copy of this book and find it useful. I don’t find it anything like wholly reliable but I’ve never found a history of Scotland or Ireland I can read for more than a page or so without having a serious disagreement.
