The name Soefirne was their business name, after the Anglo Saxon for the river Severn, which flows through Shrewsbury.”
Is this the same set that Ken Mcleod was attempting to sell with a Woof C# chanter? Whatever happened to the C# chanter? I wanted it once upon a time but Ken did not wish to separate the set depicted from the chanter. Does the owner find the Woof C# to be satisfying?
Hello Glands, Yes this is the set I bought from Ken McLeod. I have decided that I really love the sound of C# pipes and so I have managed to persuade Brian Howard to make me one. His are the sets I prefer and choose above all others, partly because of the tone and partly because of reliability and ease of playing. I am so impressed with the chanter he has made me that I am selling this to fund the full set I have on order. I need a chanter top for the Wooff ( Chris Bayley is making that for me).Lorenzo posted the link while I was trying to find out how to do it ( cheers Lorenzo)!
