I suppose the zipper is so you can open the bag to try to find out where all of the air went?

I can solve this conundrum! The bellows and the vinyl bag are from a David Daye penny chanter kit. Servicable equipment… if you have a penny chanter. The bag with the zipper is a Ross highland pipe bag. The zipper allows access to a canister drying system (kitty litter) which some competing pipers use to keep their reeds more steady. Pretty useful… if you have the canister and the tubes to attach it. Otherwise, it’s all rubbish.
