Hello, I recently sold a whistle on eBay. It was my first eBay sale. All went fine, got the money, and left a positive feedback already to the buyer.
My question is: I saw an eBay message saying that buyers can’t receive negative or neutral feedbacks from sellers, so there’s no need to fear “retaliatory” negative feedbacks from sellers. That’s great, but what if the buyer doesnt give you the money, or gives you other sort fo problems?
Also, does that mean that ratings on a buyer don’t mean anything anymore? We will always see “100%” positive.
Buyers can still give sellers positive/negative feedback. Also, as a seller, why would you ship something before receiving payment? The new feedback system does create a large flaw in that sellers can’t report bad buyers but it does at least address the issue of retaliatory feedback which has been present since the beginning. The current system is definitely of more benefit to buyers. I guess ebay believes that the seller’s feedback rating is more important than the buyers which I believe to be true.
