That’s the 2nd time I’ve seen someone do that on eBay, - somebody posted it here afew years back, and I still have a copy of it - and strangely enough, it was a boxwood flute too.
The ebay ad is posted by a proxy seller. It is obviously hard to be knowledgeable about everything. He calls himself a “straw man”, and this is what he does: “I’ll also sell your excess stuff on eBay [I’m a Certified Trading Assistant], or I’ll do your errands, or I’ll get done whatever you need done – so long as I can get paid reasonably – or at least hugged – for it! I’m a good public speaker, a pretty good salesman, a nice guy, a good cook, and I can fix or adapt most anything!” It looks to me that the proxy seller is trying to make the best of a troubled economy, even though he doesn’t have a clue about wooden flutes. You have to wonder what other kind of work that he might be asked to do in this line of work.
You mean the flute doesn’t go together that way? Dang…I’ve been doing wrong all these years.
That is the funniest thing I have seen in a long time.

…as long as he’s not trading it for flat-pack furniture.
He fixed his picture - I was the “snide” commenter, BTW. Didn’t think I was being snide, but snideness is in the eye of the beholder.

Don’t look now, but someone called you a “dweeb” ![]()
Sheesh! Now I’m a dweeb! I keep looking at my original question/comment and don’t really see where he’s getting all this negativity… In fact, I thought he’d just fix his picture. Oh well - I would have bid on it, but I sure as heck won’t now (even if it’s a Potter)!
Snidely Dweeblash (my new nom-de-plume)
Sheesh, picking on a little old lady! ![]()
