I have had the pleasure of playing this flute, and yes, it plays as well as it looks. I would snatch it up, if I had the means, I did not want to give it back.
Someone is going to get one awesome flute.
Looks a lot like my own Firth, Pond & Co. except the key arrangement of course, this being a right handed instrument. The bottom hand tone holes looks slightly smaller, but that might be an optical illusion. I’ve never played this particular flute, but if it plays anything like my own (and it probably does), it’s a wonderful instrument. Such a nice oportunity for someone to get a fully keyed wooden flute which is in tune and plays great for the price of a keyless flute made today by one of our top makers.
Americans sure know how to make a good flute, and have been making good ones for 150 years. Too bad you folks never learned how to make good
