Hello all,

On behalf of Suzanne Ward, I am posting a reminder about registration for
the East Coast Tionol, in East Durham, NY (home of the July Irish Arts
Week), Friday October 29 through Monday, Nov. 1, 2004.

The featured instructors are Mick O’Brien (who will be there with Caoimhin
O’ Raghallaigh), Mickey Dunne, and David Power. Reed and pipes maintenance by Nick Whitmer; also in attendance will be Debbie Quigley, Benedict Koehler, and Patrick Hutchinson. Fiddle classes with Caoimhin and Patrick Ourceau are limited to 20 total fiddle students, and slots are filling up fast. There is also a flute workshop with Mike McHale on Saturday 10/30.

This will be one heck of a tionol – rooms are beginning to fill up, so
please get your registration in to Suzanne soon! For full details,

Hey thanks Corin & Joseph!

I’m not sure what 's wrong with this Toasty character who has ‘harmony’ listed in his bio as his occupation. I truly feel sorry for people like Toasty who are mean and nasty. Life is too short so I’m not going to start a pissing match with this person. I’ve never talked to Toasty online or on a message board in the past so I don’t know what his problem is either. I’ve read a few of his other posts and they don’t seem to be very nice.

I spend a lot of time posting on the Session.org because of one simple rule that’s enforced: “be civil”

Anyway, it’s a nice day so I’m going to put away my flute and go for a hike.

‘ould hag’ hahahahaha…obviously Toasty has never seen me in real life. I still get carded when I buy beer and I get on very well with the opposite sex if you catch my drift. :wink:

Hi Daryl,

I’m amazed my pipes still play. I’ve been doing daycare of my 7 month old grandson five days a week and he’s made a serious incursion into my daily practice routine. We’re going to have a talk soon. :laughing:

I’ll be arriving late Friday. Any idea what’s going on and where, on Friday night?

Friday night schedule as relayed to me:

5:30pm-10pm, O’Connell Lounge: Late registration/check-in begins at
5:30 and goes through the evening. This will be a meet-and-greet
evening with informal recitals by our guest instructors and the
inevitable sessions.
6pm-8pm, Clune Dining Room: Dinner
After 8pm: for those who missed dinner, there will be sandwiches in the
O’Connell Lounge

By the way - O’Connel Lounge is at the Ferncliff House.

I’m planning to be in bed at 8PM. I certainly won’t be playing tunes all night and drinking mass quantities of Paddy and Guinness…uhhh yeah.
