Lights off for an hour this evening, starting at 8:30 p.m. local time. Don’t forget to turn off your power bars, not just the appliances connected to them. What a great time to break out the acoustic instruments.

The Leafs are already out of the play-offs, so it won’t be all that big a sacrifice.
I think it is more symbolic than anything else; something to get people conscious of their energy use, more than anything else. What the heck, it can’t hurt.
