For further info, seller published one answer to my question ‘are there any hairline cracks to the wood or the ivory?’…
‘the flute has no cracks in the rings and his condition is excellent’

then added by email (comment not published)…
‘Wood has a slim, small crack, it has lost air, is very superficial. If you send me your email I am sending you more pictures of the flute, thanks’

…and only the one bid at the opening price.

Did you win the flute? I don’t understand your post? The flute went pretty cheap, for that vintage. I am Leary of the pitch on some of these…
Alfonso, the seller is from Spain, and is a little challenged when it comes to English, especially when it comes to describing cracks… He has 80 antique flutes in his collection.

thanks for the info. It wasn’t me bidding (just watching) but I’d agree it’s probably a bargain for someone if they wanted such a thing.

He has 80 antique flutes in his collection.

…and he doesn’t play flute? Intriguing.

PS. he also had another one up with only 2 bids the same day
