When I got to work just before 06:00 this morning, two polish guys were sitting in the canteen looking very bored.
“Lazy Irishman…you late for work..ha ha ha” was the greeting.
It took me a while to explain why I was laughing harder than them

It is funny, because my beautiful bride and I were just discussing it yesterday afternoon, wondering when we were supposed to fall back. We found out when she called into work to check her workload and was surprised and pleased to hear she was calling in a tad early… a few more minutes to snuggle with me and the dog.

I wish the government would just pick a time and stay with it instead of changing twice a year.
When I worked in directory assistance at the phone company, the scheduling clerk used to try to schedule the same people to work the overnight “short” shifts in spring and fall. People liked to work the 9 pm to 3 am or 12 midnight to 6 am shifts because they got paid the same as the daytime 7-1/2 hour shifts but only actually worked 6 hours. In the spring they got a break, since at 2 am the clocks were set forward - hey, it’s 3 am, time to go home, even though they had physically been there for 5 hours. In the fall they had to be there for 7 hours.
I’m sure emergency services, convience stores, anyplace that’s open 24 hours has similar situations.
