Could anyone of you tell me if they know the name of the air at the beginning of track 4 which is entitled Tribute to O’Donnell? Or is that the title of the air??
Hi Gold Ring
“A Tribute to Peadar O’Donnell” is the title for the piece which originally appeared as track 5 on Moving Hearts “The Storm” album. For more on Peadar O’Donnell, see:

Lying in bed one night in 1985 I heard this tune on the radio and the slow piece at the start changed (ruined
) my life. The next day I called around to a friend who I knew played these strange pipes and I began down the wonderful road of discovery that is Irish Traditional Music. My piping friend was a young Eoin Dillon who pipes with Kila, and released a solo album earlier this year.
I saw Moving Hearts in the National Stadium in 1985 and Donal Lunny introduced the tune and dedicated it to Peadar O’Donnell who was in the crowd. He died the following year.
Great stuff…thanks very much for that. Its nice to knoe the story behing these tunes.
