I have his email, but was wondering if he had a site yet…
Thanks!
Hello Wanderer
I do not believe there is a web site as yet. I have e-mailed him and he sent me pictures of the whistles that he offers. They are made of boxwood and ARE beautiful. E-mail him, and ask him to send the pictures. Hope this helps.
James
Thanks
I’ve actualy got a Swayne on loan to review. I usually stick a website up on the review in the “where to buy” section, but I’ll put Jon’s email instead if he doesn’t have a site yet.
He makes really nice whistles in black wood as well or he did.
I went down to his house with a friend who needed a new reed for his French style “Student Chanter” which your man knocked up from scratch in about 10 minutes. We stopped for a cup of tea and a chat and he was very friendly and interesting to talk two.

He only makes Blackwood on request. He is a nice guy, I was thinking of buying one of his Whsitles, but I bought a Bleazey instead.
Yeah, when I enquired 3-4 years ago, he was only working in boxwood for whistles. I have no idea why, since he presumably works in other woods for pipes, and I’m pretty sure he makes the occasional flute in blackwood.
As Avery said, he’s very responsive to inquiries (one of the quickest-to-respond whistlewrights I know of).
