Thank goodness!I’ll bet the deer community is getting some milage out of the tale too. “Wow! Did you hear about buck? …”
and the doc is ever so lucky the poor deer was not right by him, because those sharp little hooves on those still pumping legs can do a heck of a lot oof damage to flesh and bone! ![]()
That’s for sure. A co-worker once had the unfortunate experience of having a deer jump into the back seat of his car… all bad timing… doing 45 MPH, slow to about 30, as the herd bolted across the highway, and ‘Bambi’ goes through the rear passenger-side window.
The interior was destroyed in a matter of minutes, and the insurance company put the car in the ‘total loss’ category. ![]()
You know those deer crossing signs one sees along the road in rural areas? Well, they get put up because enough someones have had a collision with a deer.
Its not just deer crossing the road or path that people need to watch out for too. One of my cousins had his pickup truck totalled when a buck saw him as an opponent and charged him head on.
