Wow, that was cool! So, since I’m a novice, would the consensus be that the tunable is more “Chiffy” than the brass slide tunable?
I’m amazed at the difference in sound.

Robin. You might say it is but just slightly to my ear… For me, the biggest selling point for the brass tuning slide is the cool factor…but I also like the tone a little better as well. I’m not sure if this is intentional by Tony…haven’t asked him. I suspect it has something to do with the slightly different construction technique used in implementing the slide… Hmmm… So you might say the standard is slightly more chiffy…but very very slightly…
Anyway… you know those clips were recorded in Massachusetts just a few days ago!

WOW!!! Not only do the whistles sound good… I really like that tune. Geez thanks… now I have to learn it and try to sound something that closely resembles an ATTEMPT at it!!!
Cool post… thanks!!!

I have both and found that the brass whistle I received was not in tune no matter how I adjusted it. There are obviously some quality problems with the production.
I know people say just let Tony know and he will replace it. I don’t believe that quality control should be like that however.
My favorite whistle for the past 18 months has been the Dixon Soprano. It is everything I want in a whistle and once when I misplaced it I bought a second.
