I am thinking of giving the Flute ago!
I am learning to play the whistle, but also fancy a good cheap flute.
I have a soprano D one peice whistle of Tonys and think its great, alittle moisture prone but nice sound and easy to play.
What is the the Flute like???
Are the holes quite far apart???

I have one of Tony Dixon’s pvc flutes. I posted a clip on “Clips & Snips”. Look in the beginners section, tune is The Blackthorn Stick. The hole sizes and spacing are as follows, starting from the embouchure end,
8mm dia
10mm dia
8mm dia
10mm dia
11mm dia
7mm dia
The spacing is as follows, again from the top down,
1 - 2 37mm
2 - 3 35mm
4 - 5 32mm
5 - 6 40mm

By the way, I measured with a cheap tape measure so it might not be 100%, but close enough
