Glad to hear so many positives about the Dixon low whistles on this site. It was on that basis that I hinted around to my wife in not so oblique ways that I wanted the Dixon Low D Duo for my birthday. And she ordered it!!! It hasn’t arrived yet. Someone told me that, although the Low D whistle is great, when you put the flute head on the whistle body the intonation suffers. Any truth to that rumor?
I played on a Duo once at an Irish fair i went to this summer, I had no problems on either end, though to be honest I did not play the flute head nearly as much as I played the whistle head
