I was messing around yesterday and decided to visited Tony Dixon’s site. I saw that he is now offering a Soprano d whistle with his regular black polymer head but with an alumimun body. How intriging! So of course I HAD to order one. !!! This is my question…have any of you out there in Chiffland had any experience with this whistle?? I am waiting curiously for mine to arrive so I figured I would ask … I love my other Dixons.

I picked up an aluminium Dixon when I visited Tony at his workshop a couple of months ago (sorry, I just had to get that in!!!). I think that if you love your other Dixons you are going to be very pleased with your newest purchace.

I adore mine. It goes up to High D then on to E and occasionlly F. The only problem I have is that the body is quite cold and the whistle needs to be sat on or tucked somewhere warm first.
